I’m Stephanie Mara Fox, your Somatic Nutritional Counselor with a Masters Degree in Body Psychotherapy.

In the first month, we will be focusing on food clarity.
You will learn how to stop looking externally for your food answers and discover how to interpret your body’s messages it is constantly sending you, letting you know what resonates with your system and what does not.
In this first month you will:

In the second month, we will be focusing on your hungers physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Food is often the first form of love we receive as a baby from a parent or caretaker. Food can then become our go-to when we’re not feeling seen, heard, acknowledged, appreciated, and loved.
By cultivating awareness of how different kinds of hungers physically and emotionally feel in our body, we can more accurately respond to our hungers in a more satiating way.

Understand the difference between physical and emotional hunger in your unique body.

Our sensations are guiding us. It is when we resist, push away, and numb out to our emotions and sensations (often with food) that they increase with intensity.
When we embrace our sensations and emotions, the intensity can dissipate where we can get curious about what will be the most supportive and satiating act in that moment.

Willpower is not the answer when it comes to our relationship with food and body. 95% of all dieters will regain their lost weight in 1-5 years.
Asserting more control can often lead us to feel disconnected from ourselves increasing the likelihood of reaching for food to self soothe. This can be counter to your ultimate goal to feel more grounded, connected, and confident in your life.
Multiple studies have found that dieting is associated with greater weight gain and increased rates of binge eating in both boys and girls. Diets are not effective long term strategies to health and wellness. Staying too committed to any one way of eating denies the body of its shifting and changing needs.
